Thank you!

It was so wonderful to see so many of you supporting me tonight! I'm afraid I was more emotional than usual seeing your smiling faces out there. Thank you so much for coming - it meant so much to me! See you next month!

Yea! Tonight will be so much fun!

Okay Everybody, if you would like to carpool over to the Easter Pageant prior to our Bookclub discussion at Moxi's JUST come on over to my house a little before 6:30. We will leave right at 6:30!!! So Far I have heard from Vicki, Erin, Wendy, Rebecca, Janae, and April. My car can fit 6 besides myself. So at this point I'm tentatively full BUT we don't want anyone riding ALONE (That's no fun) so just come over and we'll make sure everyone has a car and some friends to be with. I can't wait!

PS If you can't come with us, just read down a few posts and read Angie's message, she left directions to the building in there.

April 9 Book Club Event!

I've heard back from several of you and those planning on attending tomorrow have also stated that you are good with going to the pageant. So we will plan on meeting at the Paramount LDS building a little before 7:00 so we can go through the tour at 7:00. I placed a call to Angie and ended up leaving a message with Carl. She will get tickets for either the 7:00 or 7:15. I won't know for sure till I hear back from her. So just plan on the 7:00 JIC. Following the tour (45 min-ish) we will go over to Moxi Java to enjoy a steamer and discussion on the play.

If you'd like to car pool give me a call. I can fit 6 other's in our car besides me. So we might all be able to go together.

Why I will miss Book Club

I am in an Easter pageant called "Journey to Jerusalem" this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with my stake. I play Mary Magdalene, mostly because I think people think I look Jewish.

Anyway, I am inviting you and your families to come. Its free and at the Paramount Building from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each night, with a Saturday matinée from 3-5 p.m. The pageant takes you on a 45-minute tour as you seek Jesus through the people in his life. It's a great missionary opportunity and a wonderful way to teach your kids about the true meaning of Easter. You can just show up and they'll put you in a group, or if you have a night in mind, I can get you tickets.

I will miss you all terribly at book club! Cross your fingers for me!

April's Book Club

Hello Ladies! Thank you and Kudos to Rebecca, you always out do yourself. Last night was terrific and fun! If you missed it, we missed you for missing out!

For April we will be reading from the book, The Collected Plays of Neil Simon Volume II, Little Me. It is the first play in the book. Place your hold now and check in with other book club members. A few of us already have it and have read it.

A little background. This play is based on a novel written by Patrick Dennis. The novel, Little Me is an autobiography of an imaginary Hollywood Star, Belle Poitrine. She is born poor and has high hopes of achieving wealth, culture, and social status.

Neil Simon's, Little Me is a Musical Comedy. This is a new kind of read for us as we've not read a play before. Hope you enjoy! And I'll be seeing you all. Thursday, April 9th at 7pm.

PS I passed my book on to Erin. Whoever ends up with it, I taped the little bio about the play inside along with the due date to the Library, March 31st. So if I don't get it back before then, please just remember to drop it off. Thank you in advance!

Book Club Birthday Party

March's Book Club Birthday Month!
When: March 12th 7pm
Where: Rebecca's Home

We are going to be analizing our birthdays with the help of these two books!

The Secret Language of Birthdays by Gary Goldschneider and Joost elffers

AND

What your Birthday Reveals About You By Phyllis Vega

Both of these books are in circulation throughout our book club gals, I believe Erin and Alyce could be the first two to have the book!

What you need to do before coming to the next book club is:

1. Read your birthdate section in the books and write down what it says about your personality. Write the positive characteristics, the negative characteristics (these ones are always funny and usually SO not true!!! Still write them down for giggles from the crowd!), anything funny or enlightening, any famous people born on your birthdate, etc.

2. Bring your summary with you to the next book club. We will be playing a personality/getting-to-know-you game!

March's Book Club is going to be a celebration for everyone's birthday, so come prepared to celebrate YOU and your special day! Let the party begin!!!!
